I've had a lot of people message me about what exactly we will be doing next week. Here is the tentative schedule of events. Each lesson will be between 30-60 minutes, I am going to also tentatively say that they will be late morning-around 10:30-11ish EST. And all classes will be recorded and saved in the class so you can watch when you would like.

When I first started attempting to study herbalism, you could say that I was more than a little overwhelmed. There is SO much information-hell I am still learning every.single.day.

While it is prudent to reach out to professionals when needed, our health is ultimately our own responsibility. First of all, I don't like the language of 'using' an herb. It is exploitative. Plant medicine is a gift from the earth and there needs to be reciprocity and partnership. That is why learning to connect with nature and commune with the plants is a huge part of my practice-for myself and my clients. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Secondly, using herbs to treat symptoms bypasses the true root issue. We dig down and rebuild from the root with nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and yes-herbal support. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This year has already taught me so much. I started the year (like so many of us do) with so many ideas and intentions to implement-both in my business and my professional life. Unfortunately, life seemed to have other plans. Overwhelm, exhaustion, emotional issues, etc. Treading water was the theme.
I spent a lot of time really this year thinking about why we always seem to be fighting to get through life. And what to do about it. And over time it came to me.
I’ve realized that when you integrate more of the seasonal flow of nature into your life, it just organically aligns. It’s as simple as slowing down in the winter and focusing on your core wellness. It’s working with the spring to build energy and nourish your body with renewed spirit.
We are not simply observers of nature from the outside of a terrarium.

WE ARE NATURE.
We are a part of this massive ecosystem. And when we give in and surrender to it,
we thrive.

As we all live in a world where it is hard to remove those things that cause stress in our lives, we are constantly seeking ways to help our bodies adapt. Happy Saturday, friends! This is a project that I've been wanting to start for years, and I've finally taken the plunge. I receive tons of messages about how to run different aspects of my business from marketing to finances to specific things like labeling products to more broad things like "how to I run an Instagram page?". I thought-I should take my desire to run a podcast and do something a little different than what I originally intended-which was have an herbalism podcast.
BUT, I still wanted to talk about things like herbs and nutrition! And then it hit me. A podcast for folks who are wanting to start or have already started a holistic minded business (but can be beneficial for any type of micro-business) with a small to non-existent budget. In addition to the business aspect, I am going to include proper care of self so you don't get burned out in the process. So, herbal remedies, nutritional advice, and other forms of lifestyle medicine.
My hope is for this podcast to be a healthy mix of my solo ramblings and interviews with other holistic businesses to get their stories and journeys-as well as what tools they utilize to keep a healthy balance in their business and home life.
So! What I would love from you! If you are thinking about or have already started a business-what would you love to hear about? What do you need help with?
And if you are already an established or somewhat established business-I want to interview you! What is your story? How do you keep from letting your business take over your life? Send me a message to see if we would be a good fit for working together on this project!
So, I am not setting any unnecessary expectations on myself, I am probably going to do 2-3 episodes a month. One of which will contain a monthly energy reading with my dear friend @Witchmama. One will likely be just my own ramblings and then the other will be an interview. This may change as needed, but this is what I'm feeling might work the best.
